Review: D&G Light Blue Dupe

D&G's famous fragrance, Light Blue, is most probably included among the top ten perfumes worn by most women in our country. I love this scent not only because it draws a helluva 'ttention on the lcuky spritzer, but because it makes a girl fell like a real princess!
But because of the cost (I think a hundred mL bottle costs around 4,000+PHP or $100) and the fact that I'm not a perfume person, I just sniff and become wistful whenever a girl, wearing D&G Light Blue, passes me by.

Last year, I bumped into a D&G Light Blue Dupe, would you believe? It's at Jellybean, Trinoma.

Bought at: Jellybean Boutique (branches at Trinoma, Megamall, Galleria, SM North, etc)
Amount: 199PHP (got this Nov '08) or ~ $4


The Edge:
  • i swear by the claim that it is a total dupe of D&G Light Blue
  • waaaaay cheaper
  • locally available
  • cute packaging! (but I believe that they changed it into a different container this year...booo!)
  • since it is D&G Light Blue's dupe, you can make heads turn too at just a fraction of the real thing's cost!

Uh-ohs:
  • smell fades in less than an hour
  • you need to spray on quite a lot of the product (to make heads turn; but a little of it is good enough to bask in D&G Light Blue's heavenly scent)

I have another variant, the Jellybean Margarita. I wore it on a date with boyfie and he tells me it smells like the old D&G. Eeeeep! Is Jelllybean duping D&G scents? Well, lucky me.

    I am not a perfume person. But like you I like it when I whiff nice perfumes. I actually bought oh-lala before the pretty bottle attracted me so much.

    hmm. about maybelline unstoppable mascara. I heard from my cuz that it's great! 399 is a steal actually! Fasio is 395 (but solds out easily) it's one of my staples!

    What does the D&G Light Blue smell like? I like Body Shop Cassis Rose and Anna Sui Dolly Beach :) Besides their bottles are pretty too

    Hi Lisa! I can vaguely tell you that D&G Light Blue smells light and sexy. I can hardly categorize it under citrusy or floral!

    Thanks for filling me in with your fave scents. Anna Sui's bottles are totally cute!

    My favorite scent would be Lacoste Touch of Spring and Lanvin Eclat d'Arpege during the day, CK Crave (yes, for men) when I go to the gym, and Hugo Boss Deep Red, Lancome Miracle and Guess Silver during nights. And for instant mood lifter, try Estee Lauder Pleasures.

    Oh, yes I'd like to think I am a perfume conoisseur.

    i have D&G light blue the biggest size paid around 85 bucks for it and i love wearing it everyday but i have gym first period at school and i like to freshen up after that and i never rlly had nething that i could put on that smelled like light blue and i rlly didnt want to take an 85 big bottle of perfume to school

    but i found a body mist that doesnt last at long obviously but it helps me enhance the light blue scent dont laugh now Victoria secret pink body mist in fresh and clean 15 $ now if your using this as a dupe ur gonna havta reapply but it works for me when i want to enhance the light blue smell, its the closest thing i've been able to find and everyone loves the scent of it
