Of Nails and Scales

Applying Caronia Simply Red nail polish.

I apologize for the crude way of applying the polish, but this is by far the best I can do.  I'll practice more to perfect the art of painting nails.

Red nails+ Katinka, my ball python (normal morph)

holding Katinka, my ball python

Meet Katinka, our ball python.  She's a sweet girl who loves to rub her cheek on my hand and snuggle in my chest when we're watching TV.

Here are our failed shots because she was so stressed during her "photoshoot"  ^-^

Katinka, the ball python, loves to play hide 'n seek

How do you get the bubbles out? *sigh*

  1. Lovely shade, try to remove bubbles? Hmm..have you been applying your nail polish in front of a fan? Try not to do so. And do not overshake your polish, just try to roll the polish between your hands

  2. whoa!
    cute pet

im not exactly a fan snakes though but hey you said that she is sweet & loves to be petted..i would love to be able to have the chance to meet & touch her
    ^_^

    great color!
i think that is a nice red color. as for bubbles. it's annoying when you see bubbles forming, right?

My mum said that it's because i always shook the bottles before i apply though it can be the reason but what i really notice is that if you apply the 2nd coat without waiting for the 1st coat to dry it would really bubble up.

So even if i am very impatient when i do nail arts, i don't have a choice but to wait.hehe

  13. One of the bloggers I subscribe to made this entry: http://barprov.blogspot.com/2011/07/face-shop-nail-color-in-pk101.html

She listed the causes of bubbles. I'm just gonna add one thing... If you've just washed the dishes, or did the laundry, or took a bath, don't do your manicure right away. Your nails absorbed some of the moisture and it's bound to evaporate. I notice that whenever I paint my nails immediately after I wet them for some time--bubbles form.
